A Day In The Life Of Marguerite...
6:19am Alarm goes off. Depending on how I am feeling, I usually try to go for a run or go to the gym before work. Otherwise, I will listen to the radio or do some housework before heading into the office.
8:00am Walk through the markets to work. I pick up some fresh vegies for dinner this week.
8:30am Turn on computer and read my emails while eating breakfast. I also check out the on-line news.
9:30am Have a conversation with my Project Leader about the status of the project. I explain to her the ideas I had yesterday afternoon about the structure of the presentation materials for the client meeting next week.
10:15am Sketch out the slides that I think we will need for the presentation materials. I always like to think about what the slides will look like before I put data in them.
12:30pm Head up to the staff lounge for a round of lunchtime quiz – a BCG tradition!
1:30pm Travel to the client’s office for a series of meetings. I discuss with them some of the options that are emerging from our research. They are really interested and offer some further suggestions. We also talk about what information they have available – I get the names of a few people I should contact to find more data.
4:00pm Back at the office, I call the contacts I was given and arrange to meet with them tomorrow.
5:00pm Start to do some analysis, based on the information I want to show in the presentation.
6:00pm Have a quick debrief with my Project Leader – she wants to make sure that we are still on track after my meetings with the client.
7:00pm Pull together the information I will need for tomorrow’s meetings.
7:30pm Spend some time on the volunteer work I do – I send some emails and make a couple of phone calls.
8:00pm Meet a few friends for a drink and some dinner, before heading home.
