Our case work is invariably done in conjunction with our clients. This collaborative approach ensures the best available talent, ideas and energies are fused. It also fosters greater learning, enabling organisations to build their internal skills and capabilities.

Because of this approach, you can be assured of high-level client contact virtually from your first case. If you have not had much client contact before, this will give you the opportunity to develop your communication and presentation skills. If you have extensive experience in this area, you will have the opportunity to lead client teams. We all find that dealing with clients is a very satisfying part of working at BCG.

Amongst ourselves

Our collaborative approach extends to our internal working style as well. During a project, we hold regular case team meetings, which provide a structured yet open means of discussing progress to date. This lack of hierarchy means the newest Associate can freely debate ideas with a Partner and Managing Director, and find his or her ideas will be welcomed by the rest of the team. From your first day at BCG, whether you are a fresh university graduate or experienced manager, you will be expected to contribute to solving the client's problem. You will surprise yourself with how much you can actually contribute to the team's thinking about a particular problem.
